Welcome to English 10!
This page will be for any general information for the English 10 classes.
To view the daily assignments, select the current week from the drop down list.
Most assignments will have digital turn in instructions. It is imperative that students keep track of their assignments, due dates, and procedures for turning in work. Please ask for help when needed, not after it is too late.
There are links at the top of my weekly agenda pages to our frequently used sites. Student assignments are mainly turned in to Google Classroom, and secondly, Turnitin.com. Students are automatically signed into Classroom with their student email accounts. Students can simply click on the assignment, select the file to upload, and finally, click the 'turn in' button to complete the submission. I encourage students to view their submissions to make sure they uploaded the correct assignment. The same rule applies to turnitin (students do have a login for this site. Students should have used their school emails for this; if they cannot get logged on, they should reset their password). Students should check to make sure their assignment submitted by opening their class page (by clicking on their class). There should be two options - 'submit' and 'view', if 'submit' is still able to be accessed, then the assignment did not get loaded. If only 'view' can be selected, students should view their submission to make sure it is accurate.
Please note, students have TWO late assignment passes per nine weeks; however, they are ONLY worth up to half the possible points. Students will have ONE week in which to get the late assignments turned in or it will remain a zero (0). Students MUST complete missing assignment forms for ALL missing work and submit these to the red tray in my classroom. If this procedure is not followed, I do not know that the assignment was completed, and therefore, will not know to grade it. Obviously, it is in the student's best interest to complete work on time.
